**Video:** *h265 10-bit, crf 16, 1920x1080, yuv420p10le, main [email protected], medium preset* **Audio:** *FLAC 5.1 (main audio), FLAC 2.0 (commentary)* **Subtitles:** *Nekomimi-Subs & Winneon (translation), Winneon (editing, timing, typesetting, & karaoke)* **EDIT**: For people who care, it's been a few days so I feel like I have received enough feedback on this release from the various sources. This release in its current state has a few typos throughout the movie, more noticeably in the second half, and there are 1-2 lines that are mistranslated due to the translation base that this script uses (Nekomimi-Subs). The timing could also be better. The vast majority of lines don't have nearly enough lead-out, and a few lines towards the end feel awkwardly timed. It's not in an absolutely terrible state, it's still the best subtitles currently available. I won't be releasing a V2 solely because it would be a waste of time. This release was not designed to directly compete with the proper fansub-group releases; it was designed to provide a more-than-watchable release that will hold people off until the proper fansub releases are out. Sometimes it takes months for a fansub group to pick up anime movies, usually because they're focusing on TV series. Despite this, these subs aren't automatically defunct, they're still very decent and absolutely better than anything else available right now. For those who really want an absolutely perfect translation and release, you'll probably be waiting at the minimum of a few weeks, most likely at least a month. Anyway, that's it for this update. --- This release has taken more than 16 hours to make. The hour the BD came out I started encoding h265 1080p and h264 720p encodes, while also starting work on converting Nekomimi-Subs' subtitle track to the BD. However, as everyone already knows, Nekomimi-Subs' subtitle track (along with others like Day1) are riddled with poor translation, editing, spell-checking, and timing. The timing in particular was so terrible that it was the main reason this took so long to make. I personally timed, edited, spell-checked, fixed grammar issues, and typeset every single line, all 1600 of them, one by one. The end result is something that I am proud of. Personally, I believe the subtitles to be close to many of the prominent and popular subbing groups. If you don't think so, that's your prerogative. I can at least try to convince you. Below are 3 comparisons between Day1 and this release, and then 1 comparison just to show that this release has proper karaoke. There will likely be at least 1 small error somewhere in there; I am only 1 guy and there were 1600 lines to work on. I have watched the movie twice with these finished subs, and I'm certain I caught 99% of it. This is of course the limits of me not being a fully-fledged fansub group. Whether you think this is the best release currently available is up to you, but I didn't spend all that time doing nothing. I implore you to at least give it a chance. **Comparisons:** http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/132675 If you're using the below sub tracks, make sure your video duration is 1hr 46min, not 1hr 45min. If it's the latter, your timing will be all over the place because the 1hr 45min encodes don't use the BDMV playlist as their source. You'll have to manually fix timings if that's the case. **Subtitle Track + Attachments (1080p):** https://files.catbox.moe/6857ln.zip **Subtitle Track + Attachments (720p):** https://files.catbox.moe/glkmeu.zip [![screenshot](https://i.imgur.com/rlLx6c1.png)](http://screenshotcomparison.com/images/1519459613_2706158493.png) [![screenshot](https://i.imgur.com/VI734zo.png)](http://screenshotcomparison.com/images/1519459613_0247169358.png) [![screenshot](https://i.imgur.com/qfehMlZ.png)](http://screenshotcomparison.com/images/1519459613_6723054819.png) [![screenshot](https://i.imgur.com/nIBwJkA.png)](http://screenshotcomparison.com/images/1519459613_8146725093.png)

Very good. Thanks!
Thank you for the Great Effort you've done in Subtitle! More Power~!
Youre a legend! Thank you!
" but I didn’t spend all that time doing nothing." Nope indeed ; That was me.
Probably should of just used reinforce for video instead. Its very clear that this encode is far from transparent with obvious detail loss seen in the first screenshot comparison.
>using reinforce ever
Thanks for your work! And for the standalone sub links!
Can some one check this sub: https://drive.google.com/open?id=19VvToiK8HHyfeybOTmjY8gkCfXA8YqEa
Can you sub the Mahouka movie? Pretty plz :(
@stardust19xx our subbing team did a stellar job on the subs maybe you are interested in that
Thank you kindly !
Anyone know a free way to embed the subs with the movie? Everything I try has a limit on how long the video can be.
@Javipok Try MKVToolNix
Good stuff. Good Subs. I really appreciate it! If you want to use this with Reinforce or the 21gb one you just need to shift subs back 21sec or delay by -21000ms (-21s) in your player. If you don't know how here's the shifted version: https://files.catbox.moe/mkk4d9.zip It's the exact same as the one posted by the uploader just shifted by me in Aegisub.
@grayfm I assume that's for 1080p?
Quality was too good my pc couldn't handle it
Nicely edited, thanks ! Still, If I can have a word to say, why did you change "llittle sister" for "imouto" (same for big sister and big brother) ? I'm happy that nekomimi's subs are useful though ~~
@animeisdead: I've been waiting for some decent subs and I think I am gonna go with these now, thanks for your efforts. My only complaint would be going with the >H.265 meme; thankfully you provide standalone subs + attachments. I'd like to ask: does this work with BD "Remuxes" like Day1 and https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1009570 ? @grayfm: thanks for the heads-up.
Is there no one doing a good h264 (10bit) encode because i still live in a world where h264 is still the norm..

@NyaaNyaa001: The 720p release is h264 10-bit, you're not missing out on much because the movie was animated at near-720p (pretty sure). @catrelackey: It should if they used the BDMV playlist as their source. The main way to check this is to see if the Kadokawa and Madhouse logo intros are in the beginning of the movie, and that the movie length is 1hr 46 min instead of 1hr 45 min.
You seem like a fairly based fellow. Great work.

Thanks a lot!
anime aint dead you bitch
Thank you very much for taking the time to do this.
Very nice! Thanks to you, I can finally enjoy this fantastic movie in great quality! Although there are some places in the subtitles where I think commas are where they shouldn't be and aren't where they should be :/
Can't play on mobile. Waste of data. But my data is unlimited lol. So who cares. ?
