This is VERSION 2 of my 10 bit HEVC / x265 reencode of [Shady Crab's](https://nyaa.iss.one/?f=0&c=0_0&q=shadycrab "Shady Crab's uploads") 100.2 gb release of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and its OVA, with all audio encoded to AC3. English audio and signs/song for dub subtitle track are default. This release should now be playable correctly by everyone (my first release, while working totally fine for me, received some comments stating that it would not play correctly on some devices).

Obviously there are some reductions in visual quality compared to the original in all my uploads, these screenshots should help you decide whether the reduction in quality is worth my far lower file sizes.

### Synopsis
"In order for something to be obtained, something of equal value must be lost."
Alchemy is bound by this Law of Equivalent Exchange—something the young brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric only realize after attempting human transmutation: the one forbidden act of alchemy. They pay a terrible price for their transgression—Edward loses his left leg, Alphonse his physical body. It is only by the desperate sacrifice of Edward's right arm that he is able to affix Alphonse's soul to a suit of armor. Devastated and alone, it is the hope that they would both eventually return to their original bodies that gives Edward the inspiration to obtain metal limbs called "automail" and become a state alchemist, the Fullmetal Alchemist.
Three years of searching later, the brothers seek the Philosopher's Stone, a mythical relic that allows an alchemist to overcome the Law of Equivalent Exchange. Even with military allies Colonel Roy Mustang, Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye, and Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes on their side, the brothers find themselves caught up in a nationwide conspiracy that leads them not only to the true nature of the elusive Philosopher's Stone, but their country's murky history as well. In between finding a serial killer and racing against time, Edward and Alphonse must ask themselves if what they are doing will make them human again... or take away their humanity.

@Scyrous thanks, but with my current workflow, it's just easier to encode audio with Handbrake too, and Handbrake's AAC encoder is totally broken, while AC3 at least doesn't add any artifacts.
Great encode broo. Can you let me know if you will encode tokyo ghoul season 1 and 2 and Psycho-Pass season 1 and 2, there are a lot of good BD sources for these here in nayaa.
@Reaktor I know that there are plenty of other releases but there sizes are huge and those with a small size have serious quality issues.
Your releases are small in size and good in quality, that is why I am waiting for your encodes.
@Reaktor Do you have a "to do" list if so which animes are you planning on encoding next and will you add Tokyo Ghoul and Psycho-Pass in that list.

@exodion I'm now working on GTO, but I have to manually retime all the subtitles (shifting lines around inside the subs by different amounts, not just retiming the whole sub file), so it's going to take some time.
@Reaktor wow thanks for putting so much effort. Also just a heads up, alot of the sources have crappy audio (like noise and stuff, the same as how handbreaks AAC audio feels like) so please lookout for it. That is why i asked u about the source coz i was not able to find any decent source.

@Reaktor, you did a great job with this series, I had already the ShadyCrab release but in comparasion with FMA from DVD, it was 4-5 times bigger G.G
With this, you saved 80 GB or more on my HDD with a mere 1TB =)))))
The quality loss is about 0.3%-0.2%, and you have chosen well that x265 encode because is recommended at this type of animation (especially at FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood Movie: Star of Milos).
I have the specials from Theater too but it seems they are not here in you release.
Oh, and, why didn't you put BD in you title?
Most of my releases have BD sources - from the perspective that BD versions of shows and movies might be altered compared to what is aired is a valid point, but the reason I do not put BD into any of my releases is that I (so far) have never directly ripped video for my releases myself, I always reencode other releases which (usually) state they are from BD. I don't want to pretend I did the actual work in buying and ripping a blu-ray, so I leave out BD. I might state this in future descriptions if more people think it's important, but I do not think I will change my naming scheme to include it for now.
@RealOtaku0 the best version is probably the source I used to make this release with, but if you don't have 100gb sitting around free on your hdd, this is probably your best bet.

the difference in the audio is really small, you won't really hear any difference if you aren't really paying attention. however, the biggest sound difference is in the op and ed, the source has better soundstage and clarity.

Honestly I see animation design does not fit this series!!
And watched all series see many of Scenes it was so ridiculous and stupid.
In my opinion the first project Fullmetal Alchemist it's more better than shit brotherhood.
