Orphan presents the first English-subtitled version of the 2002 biographical anime, *Yume Kakeru Kougen: Kiyosato no Chichi Paul Rusch* (*Dreams on the Plateau: Kiyosato's Father Paul Rusch*). It tells the uplifting story of Paul Rusch, an Episcopal lay missionary who worked tirelessly, both before and after World War II, to improve the lot of the rural poor in Japan and to foster Japanese-American friendship.
This release includes both Japanese and English audio, as well as Japanese subtitles, English subtitles, and English subtitles/songs and signs only, for use with the English dub track. The DVD was letter-boxed the old-fashioned way, with black bars at top and bottom; thus, the encoded resolution is 714 x 402. For more information, see the blog.
This release, and all Orphan releases, are available for direct download from IRC bot Orphan|Arutha in channels #nibl or #news on irc.rizon.net.
