I would say the movie makes more sense if someone used to play the games of the series at the time they came out--mainly because they differentiate from the many other one-on-one fighting games from other companies, even Capcom, because of the charisma and personnality of their characters, that was very specific to SNK at this time.
So yeah... Even if this last and third movie is the best, it is still a product of some fan service.
