![alt text](https://i.imgur.com/eS8stDp.jpg "Cover") > The name of the OVA is also the name of the ship that serves as both the home and the interstellar headquarters for an all-female band of notorious pirates. Thanks to a stowaway who hides himself aboard their ship following one of their raids, they learn of the ultimate treasure: the Gnosis (pronounced "G'Nohsis" in dialogue), an artifact reputedly from old Earth itself. > > Unfortunately for them, the Gnosis happens to be in the hands of Emperor Batros, the brutal ruler of the planet Tres (pronounced "trez" in dialogue) who is executing great numbers of enemies, real or speculated, as a result of his military occupation of the neighbouring planet Uno. Armed with a little luck, a sniper gun that can shoot from orbit, and a technologically advanced ship, the crew of the Sol Bianca are about to make a run for the greatest prize of all. ... [source anidb](https://anidb.net/anime/1350) Encoded from R2J DVD with subtitles from OnDeed. Single Audio: Japanese (Stereo Dolby AC-3). Not every AIC OVA is a winner but there is an odd charm to Sol Bianca. I did a few DVD encodes because I originally wanted to compare them against those SD on BD or 1080i releases. To see if those BDs were worth it–they weren’t. However, since I’d already done the encodes I figured why not do a few more. There are plenty of series which haven’t yet gotten the HD treatment and are getting more difficult to find… Besides, you don’t see many x265 encodes for SD media. Don’t expect them to be game changers–no codec is going to make a DVD look any better–but it never hurts to update the formats so these series aren’t lost to time. As usual, I left the original audio untouched since there is little to be gained from compressing it further and squeezing every last byte isn’t as important today. I have dozens of DVDs for older series laying around and since they take a fraction of the time to encode compared with a BD, I will probably do more SD releases. Thank you for keeping Sol Bianca out of the clutches of Entropy. It's an interesting and extravagant ship design just like the attitudes of the pirate girls on board the Sol Bianca. The show was envisioned in the early days of personal computing and the idea of a magical visual operating system for computers was taking off as seen in how operating functions are laid out in a visual tree for the Sol Bianca.
Thank you. Do you have plans for encode of Sol Bianca - Taiyou no Fune (Sol Bianca - The Legacy) (1999-2000) [OVA][6 ep-s]
