Video: x265/HEVC 10bit 1080p (cropped to 1920x806) CRF 14.0 - from [BDMV](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1376605)
Audio: LPCM s24 -> FLAC s16, Japanese & Mandarin
Subs: Japanese PGS, English ASS (External) --> DL Subs Only: https://subscene.com/subtitles/mo-dao-zu-shi/english/2468734

Subs were ripped from WeTV (retimed, restyled, basic TS by me) without any modifications to translation (feel free to edit/use them), and its based from chinese dub.
Q: Why not use GuodongSubs or LeviathanSubs?
A: I have trouble syncing GuodongSubs and L-Subs uploader don't want me to use their subs since they will make their own release

I decided to actually look at the encode more closely and I found it has some serious issues, as depicted here:

Needless to say, this is not OK.
@syin,
first, install the fonts, if you use k-lite/mpc-hc here the settings https://i.imgur.com/7w8XQYw.jpg and for mpv you can edit/add "sub-file-path" in the mpv.conf https://i.imgur.com/0TKmu12.jpg , this method will autoload the subtitle when you playing video
Thank you for the release!
Did you try https://github.com/tp7/Sushi for subs syncing? I've heard it works pretty good.
I wonder why GuodongSubs were hard to sync. Was there a different fps or cut content in one of the versions?
