![image](https://i.ibb.co/gmTgQS5/NGNL.png) Shiro and Sora are step-siblings. They are both incredibly intelligent, but very socially awkward. As such they have isolated themselves from regular people and spend their time playing video games. They are the best in the world, knows simply as [ ] (Blank), as they always leave the "Enter your name" space empty. It doesn't matter what game, it doesn't matter how much the opponent cheats, Blank will win. One day they receive an online challenge for a simple game of chess. After they win, their opponent reveals that he is God, and sends them to a different world because they beat him. This new world is governed by 10 Commandments, and every single conflict can only be resolved through a game, with the consent of both parties. This is the perfect world for them, and it takes them little time to understand that Tet, the god who sent them there, did not do it as a punishment, but as a reward for beating him. Oh man, this is another one of my absolute favorites. I have no complaints about this. Nothing but praise. Though there was a vocal part of the fandom that complained about the rampant fanservice in this series. To those people I say "Get out! Seriously, get the hell out!". Are they gone? Good. We don't need those fuckers. If you want fanservice, we've got it: big boobs, flat chest, angel, loli, animal-ears, elf.... you name it, NGNL probably has it. But that's not the main selling point, it's just the bonus. What this anime brings is hype. Not just regular hype, it brings THE hype. The game of chess? Hype. Sora's speech? Hype! Shiritori? HYPE! Challenging the Warebeats? MO-THER-FUCK-ING HYPE!!! This is the kind of show that makes you scream "HELL YEAH! LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOO!", and I wouldn't have it any other way. Part of it is due to the soundtrack. You can probably put "All of you is all of me" to anything and it would make it epic. A bit of explanation about the contents: 1. Video source is JP BD for everything except the commercials and previews 1 & 2. 2. Subtitles for the episodes are taken from SallySubs, sourced from CR. 3. Episodes 1, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 have a second audio track: in-character episode commentary. These are commentaries made by the characters themselves, not the voice actors.. The subtitles for these tracks are internal PGS from the US BD. 4. The specials only have internal PGS subtitles, because they were better then the available fansubs. Now.... where's my mother-fucking 2nd season, Madhouse?! Say it with me: No Season 2, No Life!

May we hoping for Zero movie?

What kind of monster would only release the TV anime? Also, for the movie, there will also be a 1080p version, because it's worth it.
> R2 BD Well, now it's RAJP, but that's a mess. Don't know why they decided to change that. R2__ or __BD are the best way to describe a DVD/BD with its country initials.

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
Yeah, you're right. R2 BD is actually wrong, I just got used to R1 = US and R2 = JP. It should be JP BD.Corrected.
i have $10 on you using the machine TLed subs for the movie. please don't disappoint.
Imagine thinking this shit is good & wanting even more of this garbage. The author is also a proven plagiarist, so there's that too lol

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
Say goodbye to that 10$ cause I used the subs from the US BD. Though to be fair, the subs I use to have were the one you speak about, but they had been modified so much they were decent enough, for the time. The official ones are better though. Also, all of a sudden, something REALLY stinks here. Like some filthy, unwashed creature just came out of the sewers. Weird...
wow imagine if there were already good fansubs for the movie that edited the official subs. imagine using those. crazy idea.

DmonHiro (uploader)

Yeah, that would be nice. Too bad we don't have any of those.
Imagine if Herkz wasn't a self centered asshole who thinks his way is the only correct way. You don't pay Dmon. He's not your slave. He doesn't have to do shit to your liking. Do your own release if you hate how Dmon does things or shut the hell up, you obnoxious corporate shill.
>Imagine if Herkz wasn’t a self centered asshole who thinks his way is the only correct way. You don’t pay Dmon. He’s not your slave. He doesn’t have to do shit to your liking. Ouch.....bassgs435, you walked right into that one.
This only makes Herkz's bitching so hilariously pointless, then. If he already has a release to his tastes, why the hell does he need to come here and be an asshole? Herkz, thanks for showing me how much of a pathetic and shit person you are. Learn to ignore Dmon's releases instead of coming and bitching when they aren't to your taste. You already have your release What the hell's your problem, beyond hating when people do things their way in ways you don't like and needing to shit on them and act all superior. You're like the fansubber version of ThatAnimeSnob. Unpleasant, convinced his views are the only factually correct ones, and a shit person to anyone who disagrees with him and does things he doesn't like and with a delusional mindset you're above all these "plebs"

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
Oh, come on, we were just ribbing. herkz is harmless. You don't have to take it so personally/seriously.
you can just ignore my comments if you dislike them also am i supposed to know who ThatAnimeSnob is?
I can't. I do have personal problems with Herkz and his attitude. If he wasn't serious here, that's good. But there's valid reasons why I thought he was seriously being an asshole And ThatAnimeSnob is a youtuber/anime critic who is everything wrong with critics. Seriously, he's a highly toxic asshole. You can google his name as I wrote it here and you can get some ideas of what a shit person he is

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
ThatAnimeSnob was (is?) a dude on AniDB/Youtube who wrote/shot anime reviews that were extremely pretentious. It's not knowledge that is worth knowing. The only funny part about him is that his other alias is Roriconfan. That, and I hear he keeps getting banned. Anyway, herkz, any idea what causes text to look like in this picture? I used a random h265 encode, but it happens every time I try to encode h265 to h264. I'm obviously doing something wrong. https://i.ibb.co/tP5CYpr/Beatrice-Raws-Log-Horizon-Entaku-Houkai-02-BDRip-1920x1080-HEVC-True-HD-1-002-0-mkv-snapshot-00-00-6.jpg
> Though there was a vocal part of the fandom that complained about the rampant fanservice in this series. These folks seriously need to stop watching anime. Damn filthy casuals. @DmonHiro That happens sometimes based on the parameter you might be using when doing h264 from h265. I can't see what Beatrice used. I forgot what parameters to use to get around small issues like that. The quick one I think to do was make that HEVC encode into lossless then encode to x264. Been a long time since I done re-encodes tho. @bassgs435 Stop watching/reading reviewers and critics in the first place. I found they're all a waste of time. Only one that should matter are yours.

DmonHiro (uploader)

No, no, no. That's a hardsub. The opening to Log Horizon has subtitles for the openings.
Oh i see. Have you tried a different video player? Where did you get it from? So I can see if I am getting it too.

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
It has nothing to do with the player. It's an example of what happens when I re-encode something that was encoded in 265, in 264.
Ok I got it now. Not sure if it can be based on parameters for x264 doing this but it's possible. Whose 264.exe are you using? I use these two but more so the tmod version. https://github.com/jpsdr/x264/releases https://github.com/DJATOM/x264-aMod/releases Downloading the first episode to see for myself if it can be the parameter.
>I do have personal problems with Herkz and his attitude

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
Well, I used the r3065 tmod.
stop attacking Herkz she is the best girl plus there nothing wrong with HEVC codec why people still hate it

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
The problems I have with HEVC are: 1. It's much slower. 2. It has much more settings one can modify. 3. My encodes always look worse then if I used h264. True, one of those is only because of my lack of knowledge, but right now I see no point in using HEVC.
thatanimesnob is probably the only anime youtuber worth following. He's actually funny and people's reactions to his videos are even funnier. Also back in the day, his posts on AniDB were quite interesting. Too bad he spams 3 min videos each day now.

DmonHiro (uploader)

OK.... never mind. Turns out my problem was simple: I'm dumb. I told it to sharpen the video. That's what makes the text weird.
https://i.ibb.co/BTsyDhd/Log-horizon-1080p-p2-001-190.png Ignore the color and contrast. Forgot to bt709 it. Sorry took long. Like I mentioned it's been a while since I done re-encodes it wouldn't accept my usual scripts so kept having to modify till it got thru. I had to go barebones with regular spline36 resize. Used the tmod. Maybe the filter you're using is contributing to it? Thanks, and sorry I made you waste your time. I actually figured it out, just above your post.
> It has fewer settings one can modify. It actually has a gazillion more, FYI. But that also makes it more daunting to tackle (even if you still largely tweak the exact same params as you would with x264)

DmonHiro (uploader)

Trusted
That's what I wanted to say. Wrote the opposite. It has so much more settings that I have no idea how to use so my h265 always look worse then my 264. But I'm happy with x264, and I hear that HEVC doesn't do much to help encode in 720p anyway.
Eh, I think it's overall still in a pretty good place nowadays even for 720p. Much less so for SD, but still not particularly bad. Jumping from one to another is quite annoying if you're so used to how x264 works, though.
@DmonHiro Oh ok cool. So it was the filter. >It’s much slower. True but only because of what it's doing. You can modify it so it'll go faster but quality may take a hit similarly when choosing encode speed in h264. Have you transferred the parameters you often use from h264 to h265 and going from there? I now use the first one. I use to use releases by Barough and somebody else but can't recall the 3rd in the list. The Barough can be daunting since you have to frequent the thread if wanting to keep up to date. https://github.com/DJATOM/x265-aMod/releases https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1948834#post1948834 http://msystem.waw.pl/x265/ >It has fewer settings one can modify. What do you mean by this? You can modify almost everything. https://x265.readthedocs.io/en/latest/cli.html#cmdoption-me It can be overwhelming tho with all that to figure out what's what. I recommend turning off --no-sao [destroys details] --no-strong-intra-smoothing [destroys details] --no-amp [adds grain] nvm I see your reply to this. >My encodes always look worse then if I used h264. Try these parameters. I modified some based on how you do your h264 720p encodes.Try em. Use the above x265 link to modify to your liking. > --level 4.1 --aq-mode 3 --aq-strength 1.0 --deblock=-2:-2 --me umh --psy-rd 2.0 --rc-lookahead 40 --bframes 3 --ref 3 --subme 7 --qcomp=0.60 --psy-rdoq 2 --rdoq-level 1 --tu-intra-depth 4 --tu-inter-depth 4 --ipratio 1.4 --pbratio 1.3 --ctu 32 --limit-tu 0 --max-merge 3 --colorprim bt709 --transfer bt709 --colormatrix bt709 --sar 1:1 --fades --no-amp --no-strong-intra-smoothing --dither I took off --merange because this will be up to you. Default is --merange 57. Could try 32 or 36 forgot which. I think it may effect encoding speed. Some of the parameters above and those not there may change due to -me umh being used which is the almost the same uhm from h264. There was a chart on the profile but can't seem to find it.

Thanks, noZA_. I'll keep these for later. I have no intention of playing around with HEVC in the close future.
You could do a 1,000 frame encode test when not busy with encoding here and there. I did that when h265 was not good. Sorry my bad. Forgot your pc has some age to it just looking at your encode settings. threads=6 for h264 is slow nowadays. I understand your hesitance. I wouldn't bother with HEVC encodes when I was on my 10 year pc. Yeah, probably best sticking with h264. If you ever decide to update to a new pc hope you choose a Ryzen.
> Now… where’s my mother-fucking 2nd season There's a reason people saying we didn't get a Se2 yet, lets hope that like any other series like that, it will take a decade or two but will eventually arrive ;o
@Hermandshot The author didn't plagiarize anything. The girl who does his illustrations copied like one or two hand poses, that was the extent. The writing itself has nothing plagiarized.
@manannananam Ignore Hermandshot they are mentally disabled.
The LNs continued and Zero movie came out after that "controversy", so really the accusations didn't go anywhere and didn't affect anything.
If possible , would someone please seed https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1105195 as highlighted by @herkz
Thank you to the person who started seeding !!
Ahh yeah, thanks DmonHiro. Meow my Wednesdays can begin right.. * _Puts on a Sora wig and grabs his 'Real Doll' of Shiro_
Hevc is better lmao. The thing is you have a prehistoric computer and lack of knowledge on encoding. Avc hi10 is already deprecated hence no HW support on HW decoders.
