The WIXOSS game got so popular that a whole virtual reality world was built for it: WIXOSS LAND. You can battle to your hearts content and hope to become the next champion. And that's exactly what Asu Hirana wants to do. One problem: you need a team of three people to compete. She manages to sucker in her friend, Onko Akino, but can't seem to find a third player. That is until a team splits up literally in front of her, so Hirana goes to get one of them in her team. Little did she know the girl she fixated on, Sakigake Rei , is in a league of her own. Will Hirana manage to convince Rei to join her team. And maybe... teach them how to freaking PLAY? If you're familiar with the dark atmosphere of thw WIXOSS anime so far, this is nothing like it. This is a happy spin-off. For the most part. It has a bit of an identity crisis and it seems to want to have dark moments, but can't actually pull them off in any logical manner. Also... the game makes zero sense to me. I didn't care in the first 4 series, since it didn't matter (everyone was pulling powers out of their butts anyway), but this series is actually about the real game.
