The fan remaster is a quality product, they have spent significant time working on it over multiple revisions. It really is at the level where a small 1080p encode could be done. Right now the episodes are 1.8G each. I should check if they have done more episodes (they had done up to 70 before).
The aspect ratio is wrong. I assume it's supposed to be 4:3 (although the 704 vs 720 thing confuses me). Another thing while I'm complaining: why compress the audio when it's already compressed? It's not worth it even for a mini.
Put this in a .BAT file to fix the aspect ratio:
`FOR %%G IN (*.mkv) DO ffmpeg -i "%%G" -aspect 4:3 -map 0 -c copy -bsf:v hevc_metadata=sample_aspect_ratio=10/11 "%%~nG fix.mkv"`
