Minor script changes compared to Asenshi-MTBB. New encode from Italian BD. For those who don't know, the watch order for this show is S1 --> this movie --> S2. No 5.1 audio. Grab Asenshi-MTBB for that. There is an alternate honorifics track in this release. Set your media player to play “enm” language tracks by default to automatically play honorifics tracks. Please leave feedback in the comments, good or bad. Please read this short [playback guide](https://gist.github.com/motbob/754c24d5cd381334bb64b93581781a81) if you want to know how to make the video and subtitles of this release look better. All components of this release are released into the public domain to the [greatest extent possible](https://gist.github.com/motbob/9a85edadca33c7b8a3bb4de23396d510).

Such cute and innocent artwork I will recommend this to my family
Since OP did not bother to provide one, you can use this tiny (~83 KiB) [patch](https://mega.nz/file/RLlghaTb#AHADVPFTdIJ0t0TmgdJTh5Ck9c1Y8S4VHn2gH-b5dLA) to avoid downloading ~3.72 GiB again. --- Redo of my [previous comment](https://archive.ph/8wsQ9#com-4): \>No 5.1 audio. Grab Asenshi-MTBB for that. https://mega.nz/#!sHVA3IRI!TIKnMqL05EgJvDUqEf2R3K48MsxvN5p8byQqqQb8yo0 If you still have [this release](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1286047): `mkvextract tracks "[Asenshi-MTBB] Made in Abyss - Dawn of the Deep Soul [BD 1080p AAC] [211CA9DE].mkv" 2:"[MTBB] Made in Abyss - Dawn of the Deep Soul (v2) [B8C42193].mka"` Either add `audio-file-auto=exact` to your `mpv.conf`, or just run mpv like this: `mpv --audio-file="[MTBB] Made in Abyss - Dawn of the Deep Soul (v2) [B8C42193].mka" "[MTBB] Made in Abyss - Dawn of the Deep Soul (v2) [B8C42193].mkv"`

Ignoring the fact that 5.1 setups exists. Nice one. Why is it too much effort to include it as a .mka, if you don't want to bloat the release. Not like 5.1 AAC needs that much space, but it's better than nothing. A lot more people could enjoy like that. The effort of downloading a whole different release just to mux the audio makes no sense.
Audio isn't an important part of the fansubbing process anyway

I'd like to incentivize you to not be bitingly sarcastic in my comments sections in the future, so how about this: I promise never ever to include surround sound audio in any of my torrents going forward, so there is no reason to leave comments about it. Thanks in advance.
Well that's a very stupid decision. It's not like including it requires any effort on your part. Just keep it in. The more audio choices a release has, the better.
Options aren't an important part of the fansubbing process anyway
5.1 is cringe, 99% of people are listening in stereo

No 5.1 audio makes this release completely useless. The movie was made in 5.1 audio. If you're going to include any audio at all, include the 5.1 audio. Players can auto-downmix to 2.0 perfectly fine and special headphones+players can do even better using the 5.1 source. Or just use 5.1 speaker setups which aren't in fact that rare.
It's fine, really, someone will always make their own "higher quality" mux anyway

Stereo audio is mixed for and/or targeted at two speakers. I have two speakers. So when I use stereo audio, I am using the track that the studio designed for me. It's rare that the official stereo track is the same as an auto-downmixed version of the 5.1. If you want 5.1, then by all means go download a release with 5.1. I want everyone to choose a release that makes them happy and fits their audio system. But saying that auto-downmixed 5.1 is equivalent to the official stereo track is flatly wrong (except in rare cases). To get technical, when you listen to a player-downmixed 5.1 track instead of the stereo track, you are generally letting an automated computer program override the studio's decisions about the appropriate amount of dynamic range and/or how DRC is handled.
This release shouldn't even have the green label as it's been messed with by the uploader, removing official audio tracks.

>This release shouldn’t even have the green label as it’s been messed with by the uploader, removing official audio tracks. congrats on somehow making the dumbest comment on this torrent
You said you wanted to make the most definitive releases a while ago. Then you take these stupid decisions that require virtually no effort but would increase the quality of the torrent without bloating it. Your entire argument is moot at best and fallacious at worst. I wouldn't even use 5.1 but you are removing something for no real gain whatsoever. It's not like it's flacebo trash.

"Fallacious" implies that I'm trying to make a logical argument. I'm not trying to be logical, I'm trying to be spiteful, and I'm trying to get people to give up arguing with me about it.

So many shortsighted dumbasses on this website go out of their way to de-incentivize transparency in torrent descriptions. Whenever I post screenshot comparisons in the description, people use them to complain about my release. When I warn people that I'm not including 5.1, I get more comments than usual complaining about *that*, too. It's incredible how I'm punished for trying to be as helpful as I can in letting people choose which release to download. Take a deep breath and try to resist complaining about every release that doesn't fit your personal taste, especially when you haven't even downloaded it.
Idk man, what's the point of being spiteful? Just of out spite? I mean perhaps I know something about that since most of my comments definitely piss someone off, but even then, you didn't even give a proper argument for not adding 5.1 audio. I appreciate your work (and I definitely do not expect you to appreciate me for it) but at the same time, perhaps you should meet other people's needs since it costs you not that much effort, anyway. You do you though. I'm not using any 5.1 audio track, anyway.

> Is this a typo? Happens on 01:23:16 I don't see a typo here, what word are you talking about? If it's the O, that's a typical literary flourish. https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/o, ctrl+f "used in direct address".
Thanks for the BD version. Been on my list to swap for a BD of the movie. This was a tough movie to get through especially towards the end. BTW What's this mean? "Minor script changes compared to Asenshi-MTBB. New encode from Italian BD." I'm wondering if the subs were created from the scratch fansubs created for the Cam version that was leaked a few months before the DVD/BD cam out.
no, they aren't, they come from another fansub release.
