This is a lossless rip of the North American DVD release of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure OVA's from 1993 and 2000.
Like with most of my rips the whole point of this release is to just have the rare and expensive North American DVD's along with any extras that came with them converted into easy to use MKV files instead of clunky ISO files.
This rip contains:
-720x480i video @~5687kbps
-MarcoCo. Studios English Dub (2003-2004) [5.1 AC-3 Surround Sound @448kbps] [ENG]
-Original Japanese Audio [5.1 AC-3 Surround Sound @448kbps] [JPN]
-English Subtitles [VobSub] [JPN]
-English Signs & Kanji Translations [SSA] [ENG] (Episodes 9 & 13 only)
-Original Japanese Audio [AC-3 Stereo @192kbps] [JPN] (For extras)
-Original English Audio [AC-3 Stereo @192kbps] [ENG] (For Extras)
-Chapter Markers
This release includes:
-All 13 episodes (sorted in chronological order)
-English and Japanese Surround Sound
-The JoJo Timeline
-Translators Notes
-Production Press Conference
-Staff Interviews
-Pencil Roughs
-Skywalker Sound Interviews
-Making of English Dub
-Interviews with Creator Hirohiko Araki and Kitakubo
-Episode Storyboards
Sorry about the large file size, it's because of this weird quirk these DVD's have instead of just having the files on the disc be the raw episode footage with the dub or with English subtitles put over them instead they made it so the intro and outro had English credits baked in which I would say is a good thing but instead of having it be one way or another they decided to put 4 separate versions of each episode on the disc:
1. English Dub Credits [ENG]
2. Japanese Cast Credits [JPN]
3. Kanji Credits [JPN]
4. Storyboard Version [ENG]
So basically each version has different intro and outro credits so instead of just translating the text in the intro credits then including both the English and Japanese cast in the credits of the outro instead they decided to separate the English dub and Japanese cast credits into their own files even though there was plenty of room to just put the English actors name under the Japanese actor and what is even stranger is that they include the version of the episodes that don't have English translations of the credits but not only that but the version with Kanji credits for some reason is much higher quality than the other two versions which is really strange.
I am also sorry that there are storyboard episodes missing, this is not my fault because for some reason each disc only has one episode each that has storyboards on them so in turn you end up with only episodes 1, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 respectively which is nice to have but it's a shame the rest of the episodes are not included.
I think at a later date I will OCR the subtitles, make them SSA then just add the English credits into the higher quality Kanji episodes as part of the subtitle file so you can get the benefits of the English credits along with the higher quality of the original episode videos.
