Thanks, btw Forty Millenniums of Cultivation episode 14 when? :)
@moetee79 I always watch new episodes from BTTH in myanime.live but I decide to check your subs from this episode & although the grammar is better because the one who do the translation in myanime.live is definitely not a native English speaker because in many cases the grammar is off same for verb tenses, still I prefer the words he choose compare to those you choose yourself, some examples: YOU: formidable guy myanime.live: fierce enemy YOU: big cousin (I think in China, Japan also girls of younger age always use the word brother even when they talk about their cousin) myanime.live: big brother YOU: physical strength is immense myanime.live: physical strength is so domineering This was just a small example, so although as I said the grammar is worse on myanime.live the words this guy who own the site choose, sound much better to me, but the quality of your 4K release is really nice :)

@rpgmaniac - I truly appreciate the time and effort you took to provide this feedback. As with any work done by novice fan-subbers, like myself, it is difficult to meet everyone's expectations. In saying that, I do these subs for my own purposes/collection, and share them as I feel some others may like the style I use. While I don't believe this to be the most ideal channel/medium to discuss these, I would still like to respond your points as a matter of courtesy: 1. 'Fierce enemy' - I note that Liu Qing is calm, collected, unemotional, and actually a reasonable character, there is nothing "fierce" about him. Also, the term "enemy" is something I do not wish to use to describe how fellow schoolmates/students refer to each other. They may be rivals, but not enemies. 2. Big Cousin - You're right, but I used cousin as a reminder to myself that Liu Fei and Liu Qing are exactly that, and not siblings. I did this in an earlier episode too, and will continue to adopt this for Liu Fei's dialogue/reference. 3. "...so domineering" - I adopted 'immense' to reflect the fact that Liu Qing just *spoiler alert* flicked a broken blade tip towards his opponent, causing him to fly back and get knocked out. Domineering has a different meaning i.e. "asserting one's will over another in an arrogant way". Also, it keeps the CPS down to an ideal length. Regarding the 4K video, I cannot take any credit for these. Full credit goes to two of my current sources, "Anon" and "Greyrats". I switch between them depending on quality. I hope the points I made above make sense, but do keep your feedback coming. However, while I do appreciate the feedback, I would ask if they could directed to me via email or discord. Thanks again. Hope you have a pleasant day and take care.
@moetee79 You might be right about the example 1 & 3, after all I have zero knowledge in Chinese language, but at the end of the day it's not so much what is more accurate but what sound more... cool I guess? :D As for example 2 I would prefer if you translate exactly what she said, which is brother as I was certain this is what she said, I hate it, for example, when in various anime translations those who do the subs instead of using "Big Brother" use either the character's name, cousin or whatever... it really ruins the feeling I don't know if you get what I mean, it says brother there is no reason to change it, translate it exactly as it is. Anyway you know I recently made a subreddit for Donghua fans, name is r/DonghuaFandom feel free to join if you like, & btw I recommended to everyone in my subreddit to watch Forty Millenniums of Cultivation with your subs because seriously if you didn't translate this Donghua it would be literally unwatchable, I tried to watch it from various streaming sites & YT & the subs was so bad that I was ready to drop it until I discover your version here on Nyaa, btw I really liked that Donghua so thank you very much you decide to translate it I wouldn't be able to watch it if not for your subs :)
if you have wording preferences, you can download the English sub files (subscene has them) and edit them yourself. MxT is doing this kindly for free.

@rpgmaniac - Regarding use of character's names, I know exactly what you mean! While I personally am not a fan of it either, I can accept why the translators decided to follow that line. I think of all the episodes of BTTH I've done, the use of "big cousin" is one a very very rare deviations I have done. But I'll keep your note in mind. Regarding FMoC and the sub-reddit, thanks and I appreciate the shout out, will visit it at some point. Also, I'll share the remaining episodes as I get them done, but no promises on being quick or being weekly etc. @tailor31415 - Thanks, I was about to mention that my subs are "soft" so it is open to anyone to make changes as they wish (I'm sure there are some who are doing that already :D ). However, it's news to me that subscene would have the subs - I always thought that site was for live action shows. I'll go check!
Thanks for this boss! Any plans to re-release episodes 1-25 in 4K?

Hi - sorry didn't see this until now. I honestly don't know, the 4K versions I have shared so far don't seem to be getting many downloads, so I might just stop doing them altogether.
