Keeping the 1080 file sizes down to what they are now,You will definitely see an increase in downloads.
Before the bloating wars began in 2011. There were unspoken standards in the community covering file sizes of episodes. based on how many episodes can fit on a 4.7GB DVD-Rom disc. More than @480p 150-200mb @720p <350MB and @1080p <650MB. A season of Anime 12-13 ep at 1280x720p resolution would fit on 1 4.7 GB DVD-rom disc. Making storage or sharing really easy to do. After a lot of trial and error by the best encoders, they concluded as long as the source is good. There is enough data in the file sizes described to make quality encodes. Anything bigger is a waste of space and bandwidth. Encoding tech has gotten better so even less is required today. 'Keeping the 1080 file sizes down to what they are now,You will definitely see an increase in downloads.
@YoshiYogurt
True true, but there exists an optimal size for every media out there.
Nothing wrong with finding it.
I think 500MB for an anime like this sounds about right.
Of course, you would probably want more for things like Solo Leveling or Chainsaw Man and the like.
