New raws from Masked Rider Black. Includes all content from the Bluray release of the series, the related movies from the Rider movie Bluray box, and additional content from the DVDs.
With a few exceptions, the Blurays use HD scans of new film prints of the original negatives with DNR applied.
For the main episodes (1-51), the flashing in the stock transformation and attacks has been greatly reduced, making it MUCH easier on the eyes. (I do not know if they will trigger the DX Transformation Belt or not.) Episodes 00 and 52, both movies, and the TV Hero Encyclopedia were not edited to reduce the flashing.
The exceptions are:
Episode 00:
Tape-edited (upscaled on Bluray). Portions shot on film have bad field blending. I've encoded from the DVD. 60fps (about half was shot on tape at 30i, the rest has 30i effects and I'm not going to Timeranger TWO episodes here)
Episode 17:
Someone at Toei forgot to DNR the second half of this episode. After the commercial break there is wonderful grain everywhere.
Episodes 21, 22, 37 and 38:
Movie promos are upscaled from DVD (Blurays have porly-done upscales of these promos as extras)
Episode 51:
Promo for episode 52 is upscaled from DVD. (upscaled promo is included as an extra on the first Black RX bluray box)
Episode 52:
Tape-edited (upscaled on Bluray). Sourced from DVD. Main episode has been Timerangered to get the least-blended field, with two 60fps sections (to handle the 30i end credits and some effects near the ep title). Black RX ep 1 preview is rescanned film. (oddly, the ep1 preview is an extra on the 3rd Black bluray box, but poorly upscaled)
Toei TV Hero Encyclopedia 1:
Tape-edited, upscaled. This never had a DVD release, so I'm stuck using the upscale. encoded in SD. Variable framerate.
Golgom Files:
Taken from the DVDs. For whatever reason, the back-catalog Rider BluRays do not include the images that the DVDs had.
Video: 10-bit x264, 720p for most content, 480 for tape-edited stuff
Audio: AAC
